About us

We are Georgetown University’s premier a cappella group for women & gender minorities! Founded in 1980, we've been singing together for over 40 years, throughout the District of Columbia and the Georgetown community.

The GraceNotes co-host the D.C. A Cappella Festival (DCAF), one of the region’s most exciting a cappella shows. Taking place over two weekends in November, DCAF showcases some of the best a cappella talent on the east coast, inviting groups from universities all along the Atlantic to share their music in Georgetown’s famous Gaston Hall.

Recent highlights have included performances at the White House, Vice President’s Residence, Kennedy Center, Pentagon, for the Chinese Ambassador, for H.E., Kofi Annan, for the Women in Tech Awards, and a performance at Georgetown’s campus in Doha, Qatar. The GraceNotes sing a range of music from rock to oldies and modern pop. We have released two albums, and our latest album, State of Grace II, was released in Fall 2023!
